The Asian Animation Summit (AAS) is an annual event designed to showcase Asia’s strongest animated projects looking for investors and partners.
The Summit will feature animated and mixed-media TV/web series for children up to 15 years of age. Series can feature any episode length, but they must not have commenced production by the submission deadline (September 6, 2018). And second/subsequent seasons of existing TV series are ineligible, so the program will be focused on brand-new original concepts.
AAS 2019 is set to take place from November 20 to 22 in Seoul, South Korea.
Two NSW projects (represented by their creative teams) will be selected to present at the AAS in front of a high-level audience of content-makers, distributors, investors and broadcasters from across the Asia-Pacific region.
New to the summit this year is the Co-Development Initiative, to help earlier-stage projects take their next creative steps more successfully. Kicking off day one and day two at the event will be a curated series of short presentations of projects looking for like-minded development partners in the region. Applicants can apply for this opportunity within this form. Please note that there is seperate eligibility criteria for the co-development initiative.
Funding from Create NSW will support their travel ($3,500 for an individual and $7,000 for a team of two or more).
