Screen Industry External Assessor EOI 2025

The Screen Industry External Assessor Pool is a group of industry assessors with a broad mix of skills and experience from across the screen sector who may be called upon to undertake assessments for Screen NSW funding programs. 

Members may be selected for relevant assessment panels throughout the year based on their expertise. External Assessors will review and score applications against specific assessment criteria, agree on final rankings and submit recommendations to the final decision-maker. 

Before submitting an Expression of Interest, please read the Terms of Reference.

• You must be an Australian citizen or an Australian resident. 

• You must be an early, mid-career or established screen practitioner.  

• You must be an individual, have a valid ABN and, if required by law, be registered for GST.   

• You must not be an employee of a state or federal government agency or a broadcaster, or a full-time student. 

• Please read the Terms of Reference alongside the Screen NSW Terms of Trade for our general eligibility requirements. 

Screen NSW will maintain a Screen Industry External Assessor Pool (register) for practitioners who are interested in undertaking External Assessments. Expression of Interest applications will be assessed, with approved applicants added to the register. When an External Assessor is required, a representative from the relevant department at Screen NSW will review the register and prepare a shortlist of up to three approved members. This shortlist will be submitted to the Senior Manager Content Investment and/or Head of Screen NSW for final selection. 

Expressions of Interest will be assessed for inclusion on the register against a common set of criteria. 

Those included on the register will have demonstrated: 

• Experience relevant to the position for which they are applying. 

• An understanding of the proposed role.
