Made in NSW - Local Fund 

The Made in NSW – Local Fund supports high-end feature film and television drama productions that strengthen NSW as a competitive and sustainable hub for screen production while delivering cultural and economic benefits for the state. 

The fund aims to: 

• Attract and retain high-end television and feature film production in NSW. 

• Stimulate economic activity and job creation within the screen sector. 

• Foster collaboration with international partners and new market opportunities. 

• Support employment pathways and skills development for NSW-based practitioners. 

• Increase participation by under-represented groups in the screen industry. 

This application will help us understand your project, its production plans, audience and market pathway, proposed NSW activity, and the economic, industry and cultural outcomes it will deliver for NSW. 

Regional Filming Fund 

The Regional Filming Fund supports screen productions to undertake meaningful production activity in Regional NSW by offsetting eligible regional production costs. 

The fund aims to: 

• Increase economic activity in Regional NSW by encouraging screen productions to film outside metropolitan areas. 

• Enable Regional NSW to benefit from the growth of film and television production in NSW. 

• Support sustainable employment, skills development and capacity building for Regional NSW screen practitioners and businesses. 

• Strengthen the use of Regional NSW locations, workforce and services through meaningful on-location production. 

• Ensure NSW Government investment delivers value for money and demonstrable regional economic outcomes. 

This application will help us understand your project, its proposed regional production activity, regional expenditure, engagement with regional practitioners and businesses, and the economic, industry and cultural benefits it will deliver to Regional NSW.

By submitting this application form, the Applicant acknowledges and agrees that:

• if this project application is successful, the relevant details of the project will be made public, including details such as the names of the organisation (Applicant) and any partnering organisation (state government agency or non-government organisation), project title, project description, location, anticipated time for completion and amount awarded;
• the Department will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that any information received in or in respect of this application which is clearly marked ‘Commercial-in-confidence’ or ‘Confidential’ is treated as confidential, however, such documents will remain subject to the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) (GIPA Act); and
• in some circumstances the Department may release information contained in this application form and other relevant information in relation to this application in response to a request lodged under the GIPA Act or otherwise as required or permitted by law.

Applicants may apply for funding from both the Made in NSW – Local Fund and the Regional Filming Fund streams, or only the Made in NSW – Local Fund. Regional Filming Fund applications cannot be made on their own.
